Job Scope:

We are looking for Operations Project Officer at Melfort Solar Power Plant, in Harare Zimbabwe,. He/She will report to the Senior Operations Program Manager. The Operations Project Manager will be relied on by various levels of management to innovate, execute, and provide solutions, ideas, problems, and support so they can build a strong culture for the teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and continually improve the systems and processes being used by the department to effectively meet customer requirements and profitability goals;
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the production team;
  • Responsible for work assignments, hiring, promotions and performance appraisals;
  • Control department activities for adherence to project requirements;
  • Develop/oversee project management technical and schedule goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning;
  • Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects. Need the capability to readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements;
  • Interact with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion;
  • Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting;
  • Proactively and systematically communicate challenges, risks and successes;
  • Coordination of installation schedules, management of staffing to ensure on time completion,
  • Maintain project documentation related to contract administration, schedule, and budgets,
  • Work directly with Project Engineer and Construction Manager to define project baseline, scope, resource allocation, and deliverables,
  • Perform regular check-ins with job superintendents to gauge project progress,
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders,
  • Proactively manage project scope, identify critical variables, and devise contingency plans,
  • Internal reporting, maintaining records and databases,
  • Troubleshooting issues relating to installations,
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders,

Qualifications, skills and Experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering or construction management, Human Resource, Business Related Course
  • 2+ years previous experience in project management and/or construction operations;
  • Valid driver license.
  • engineering in electric power;
  • Deep understanding of solar energy systems;
  • Ability to problem solve both personnel issues and project issues;
  • Good record keeping and organizational skills;
  • Operation monitoring and quality control analysis;
  • Excellent coordination, time management, and multi-tasking;
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Exceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills;
  • Complex troubleshooting and problem-solving ability;
  • Budgeting and planning;
  • Good judgement and decision making;
  • Familiarity with construction tools and technology;
  • Solid mathematical and computer skills (Microsoft Office 365);
  • Expected to work on project site 50% of time or more, as project demands

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the Riwasun Consultants Limited & financial planning, investment strategy and decision-making processes. This position involves deep collaboration with the executive leadership to ensure the business’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Strategic Planning & Financial Modelling

● Develop and maintain long-term financial models and forecasts to support strategic initiatives and business plans for Riwasun

● Advise executive management on strategic financial decisions, mergers & acquisitions, capital investments and expansion opportunities.

● Conduct scenario analysis and risk assessments to guide executive decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

● Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasting in collaboration with heads of departments across different Subsidiaries.

● Monitor budget variances and provide regular financial reports with actionable insights to management. Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation

● Assess and propose capital allocation strategies aligned with the Company’s objectives.

● Evaluate potential investment opportunities, ROI calculations and business case development.

● Assist in managing the company’s investment portfolio, liquidity and financing structure. Financial Analysis & Reporting

● Provide in-depth financial performance analysis including profitability, cost structures and cash flow trends.

● Track and report financial KPIs and develop dashboards for senior stakeholders.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial strategy reports for management and board review.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

● Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities during reviews or inspections.

● Identify and mitigate financial risks and propose internal control improvements where necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Work closely with Finance, Legal, Operations and Business Development teams to align financial strategy with business functions.

● Support major corporate transactions (e.g., restructuring, equity fundraising or debt issuance) from a financial planning standpoint.
